Children and Young People's Workforce Level 3 at West Hatch High School
This qualification enables learners to gain the knowledge and experience which will allow them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. Upon achievement of this qualification it is intended learners will be able to enter the workforce or access higher education.
This qualification confers the licence to practise as an Early Years Educator.
Early Learning and Childcare Pathway
This qualification is ideal for those who wish to progress to a degree in a related discipline and for those wanting to work in settings delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Social Care Pathway
For those wishing to progress into Social Care, Nursing, Youth and Community Studies.
5 GCSEs at grade C or above including English and Maths. Those wishing to pursue Primary Teaching must also hold a GCSE in Science. Interview and relevant experience will also be taken into consideration.
