Plumbing Studies L3 Diploma at Bishop Auckland College

Course description

Construction is the UK’s biggest industry, with two million people working in over 700 diverse careers. Once working in the industry, there are many opportunities to develop skills throughout your career. This full time course is taught over 3 days a week for 1 year and includes Maths, English and ICT. The course will be held at our South West Durham site in Newton Aycliffe.

Course content

The theory and practical units as follows: Unit 201 Health & Safety in Building Services Engineering 301 Understanding the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems Unit 302 Plumbing system installation planning Unit 303 Complex cold water systems Unit 304 Domestic hot water Unit 305 Sanitation and drainage systems Unit 306 Central heating systems Unit 307 Domestic gas principles Unit 308 Career awareness in building services engineering.

Future opportunities

You will achieve a full level 3 Diploma. You will learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression within the plumbing sector.


What can I do when I finish?

If you gain suitable grades you may want to progress to a paid Plumbing NVQ Apprenticeship or employment.
