Course description
This course is for anyone aspiring to become a beauty therapist / spa therapist. It will cover practical skills and all aspects of theory, with an assignment to cover each unit. You will practice treatments within our modern ‘Tees Style Two’ commercial beauty salon. You may have the opportunity to undertake additional optional qualifications (this may incur an additional cost). This course may include 9.00am starts and a late night.
Course content
Units studied:- 301 Working with colleagues within beauty related industries. 302 Monitor and Maintain health and safety practice in the salon. 303 Client care and communications in beauty-related industries 304 Promote and sell products and services to clients 305 Provide Body massage 306 Provide electrotherapy treatments 309 Provide massage using pre-blend aromatherapy oils 322 Apply stone therapy massage 325 Monitor and Maintain Spa areas 326 Provide Spa treatments English and Maths Alongside these units you will also complete a Level 3 certificate in Customer Service. You will attend 4 hours of theory sessions a week You will attend 8 hours of practical sessions a week You will complete English and Maths 2 – 3 hours per week.
Entry requirements
Level 2 Beauty therapy "If you do not have a Grade A to C in English and/or Maths, you will be required to continue studying these subjects as part of your Study Programme."

Future opportunities
