Entry requirements



The ELC Geography Certificate is assessed by four pieces of coursework undertaken in lessons, an oral decision-making exercise and a 1 hour test taken in the Summer Term of Year 10.The ELC History Certificate is based entirely on coursework which is completed in class.  Work from each topic is submitted along with an externally set task on an important historical person.

Further information

ELC provides students with the opportunity to gain two nationally recognised qualifications; Geography will be studied in Year 10 and History in Year 11.  Students choosing this course must have the agreement of their Humanities Teachers.*Important* - Please note that students entered for ELC Geography and History cannot take these subjects again in another block.
