ICT BTEC National at Bedford Academy

Course description

What would you like to do after you leave school? It doesn' matter - you'll need ICT.

Whether it's your first job in a supermarket or you are leading a multimillion pound industry, you will be working with ICT equipment.

Electronic learning allows you t demonstrate a variety of skills including communicating online, fixing and maintaining computers, creating software, as well as graphic design.

Course content

You will study a wide range of topics including: communicating online, building and maintaining computers, graphic designing and website building. You will develop your technological skills by giving you the opportunity and their vast amount of software work. If you chose Double ICT you will study 6 further units.

Assessment

Level 3 BTEC courses are assessed on coursework assignments that are internally marked and externally moderated. There are no exams.

Future opportunities

A strong technological knowledge is highly valued by most employees, universities or apprenticeships. The average employment in ICT starts roughly at £18000 per year. Acquiring a relevant degree would increase your starting salary to £21000 per year.
