Move to Adulthood at West Suffolk College
This is a course for Pre-Entry and Entry Level 1 learners, who need to make the transition from a college environment into their local communities. This course explores work and leisure opportunities available in each student’s locale.
The course covers: planning for the future; exploring work and leisure opportunities; identifying help and support in their local communities. In addition, the programme of study aims to continue to develop functional English and Mathematics, along with social and employability skills.
This is a progression route for students who have completed the Springboard course or an equivalent programme in an alternative post-16 setting. All students will need to have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in place.
Each learner will have an independent learning plan which will be used to recognise and record their progress and achievement (RARPA).
