Advanced Apprenticeship for the Children and Young People's Workforce at Acacia Training & Development Ltd
Acacia Training often offers learners additional courses that are either optional extras as part of an Advanced Apprenticeship or to help build knowledge towards the QCF Diploma as required. At this level, there are different pathways according to the type of setting you are working in. Please speak to the Business Manager from your chosen centre to ensure you are on the correct pathway. They will be able to guide you. As a learner for this qualification, you are responsible for your own portfolio
There are no formal entry requirements but you must be able to demonstrate your competence in a real working environment. This QCF Diploma is often a progression route from the Intermediate Apprenticeship or QCF Certificate at Level 2
This QCF Diploma is assessed in your own workplace and you will be allocated an Assessor who will visit you to carry out observations of your work and help you to identify relevant evidence of your competence in work
For learners aged up to 24, the Skills Funding Agency requires Acacia Training to choose Advanced Apprenticeship funding over any other form of funding where there is a choice. The Advanced Apprenticeship is now available for all ages (subject to eligibility) and is made up of a framework of the QCF Diploma, Functional Skills at the appropriate level, and an Employment Rights and Responsibilities Workbook. To access this funding via Acacia Training, applicants must be working under contract of employment with a local employer in the South West Region. For learners aged 24+ this Advanced Apprenticeship is no longer government funded. However, Acacia Training can access 24+ Advanced learner loans to pay for this training, subject to eligibility. The price will be£2500 +VAT with no functional skills
