The study of philosophical ideas about knowledge, concepts of God, ethics and understanding the mind.

Course content

AS Course content
Epistemology - Explores our immediate objects of
perception, what knowledge is and where knowledge comes from.
Philosophy of Religion - Examines different arguments for the existence of God and how these are expressed through experiences and language.
A2 Course content
Ethics - The exploration of ethical theories and how we decide what is morally right and how this is expressed through ethical language.
Philosophy of Mind - Study of the mind and body and the connection between the two, dualism or materialism.
