Intermediate Apprenticeship in IT User Skills at Norfolk Training Services

Course description

The aim of this qualification is to recognise the application of a range of IT user skills, knowledge and understanding. OCR’s new ITQ provides increased flexibility and choice for learners and centres, allowing them the opportunity to use any method, or combination of methods, which clearly demonstrates that the learning outcomes and assessment criteria have been met by learners. This qualification also allows contributing qualifications, for example CLAiT, to be recognised towards the overall achievement of the qualification.

Aimed at

  • learners who starting employment that will entail using IT skills or those who use IT skills in their current role but who are looking to gain a recognised, relevant qualification to support their job-role.

Course content

All Apprenticeships are required to last for a minimum of 12 months. This qualification will usually take 14 months to complete as learners may need to complete Key Skills Application of Number level 1 and Communication level 1 depending on prior qualifications. Learners will also have to sit an online test to obtain a Technical Certificate. Please note this is only a guideline of how long it will take to complete the qualification.
