Intermediate Apprenticeship

  • Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading
  • Functional Skills Maths Level 1
  • Functional Skills English Level 1
  • Functional Skills ICT Level 1
  • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills (PLTS)
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)

Length of the course - 12 - 14 months Approximately

During the Apprenticeship, you will cover areas such as:

  • Managing personal development
  • Develop working relationships with colleagues
  • Communicate information and knowledge
  • Set Objectives and provide support for team members
  • Plan, allocate and monitor work of a team 

Who is it for?

If you’ve got excellent communication and presentation skills, and you enjoy helping people to learn and develop, a management position would be perfect for you!

In this job, you would need to be able to relate to all levels of staff to identify training needs. You would need a very organised approach and be able to plan ahead and manage your time well.

You do not always need academic qualifications to start training working in Management. However, some employers may prefer you to have a good standard of general education such as GCSE’s, including English and Maths.

Typical skills needed to be a manager include:

  • Interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Good communication
  • Problem-solving
  • Forward-planning and strategy

  • Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading

Entry requirements

To be eligible for this qualification, you need to be employed in the role or working towards the role of Team Leader for at least 30 hours per week. 

Financial information

Aged 16-18
Fully funded

Aged 19-23
Fully funded for employers with less than 1000 employees. For employers with 1000+ employees, please contact us for further details.

Aged 24 and over
Total People require employers to make a contribution towards the cost for all learners aged 24 years and over, embarking on an Apprenticeship.

Future opportunities

On completion of the qualification, you may progress onto other Business Service qualifications such as further Management qualifications, NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service, NVQ’s in Business & Administration, Contact Centre Apprenticeship, IT Apprenticeship.
