Apprenticeship Childrens Care at Stephenson College

Course description

Apprenticeships are structured training programmes available for anyone aged 16 years or over. They offer an excellent opportunity to study for a nationally recognised qualification whilst gaining valuable on the job training and earning money while you learn.

Course content

Apprenticeship Framework includes:
Level 2 Certificate for Children & Young People´s workforce (QCF)
Functional skills level 1 Maths & English

A good standard of education and genuine commitment to work with children.

Assessment

Observation in the workplace. Completion of portfolio. Tasks such as case studies, designing leaflets, written questions. External testing for functional skills.

Advanced Apprenticeship consisting of Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People´s Workforce (QCF) and functional skills, Maths, English and ICT at level 2.
