Child Care Level 3 (Early Years Educator) at Vocational Training Services Care Sector Limited

Course description

The qualification covers the knowledge and skills which are essential to anyone working as an Early Years Educator.

The nine mandatory units cover the following topics:

Child Development
Professional Development
Safeguarding children
Diversity, equality and inclusion
Positive behaviour and transitions
Working in partnership
Promoting children’s speech, language and communication
Theories underpinning practise
Supporting childrens activities

The content of this City and Guilds qualification also meets the criteria set by the National College for Teaching and Leadership.

In order to enrol as an Early Years Educator learners will need to have gained GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.


An initial assessment of each learner will be made before you start to identify:
Any specific training needs, Support and guidance you may need, any units you may have already completed, or credits you may have accumulated which are relevant to the qualification
