Level 3 Diploma in Sport (Double Award) at St Aidan's and St John Fisher's Associated Sixth Form

Course description

The course is designed to be delivered using a variety of practical methods with students getting the opportunity to take part in their own chosen team and individual sports, analyse their skills and techniques using video evidence and have opportunities to work in laboratories and interactive classrooms.

The course builds on the student’s experience from their KS4 and GCSE to provide an introduction to the sport and leisure sector for learners looking to build a career in sport, within one of its occupational areas. These areas include careers in exercise and fitness, coaching and leadership, sports development and the outdoors.

The content of the course is made up of a variety of units and has been structured to allow learners maximum flexibility in selecting optional units, so that particular interests and career aspirations within the sport and active leisure sector can be reflected in the choice of unit combinations.

Entry requirements
