Performing Arts A Level at Oakbank School
Although you will participate in all of the disciplines, you will specialise in Music, Dance or Drama. You will develop performance skills, explore repertoire and take part in a number of public performances. You will investigate performing arts organisations in depth and learn about how to get work in your chosen field. All practical work is supported by written work which needs to show evidence of planning, research, analysis and evaluation.
If you have not studied a performing arts subject at GCSE level it is still possible to do ‘A’ level Performing Arts if you can demonstrate a strong interest in music, dance or drama. If you have studied music, dance or drama at GCSE/BTEC you need grade ‘C’ or better.
