Film Studies - A Level at St Gregory the Great Catholic School

Course description

If you love films and want to develop your understanding and appreciation of them, this is the course for you. You will focus on how films create meaning and how audiences understand them. You will also get the opportunity to carry out case studies on various actors, directors and genres and produce a practical piece of film based on your studies.
In your first year you will examine how films are constructed and you will be given the opportunity to produce your own screenplay or storyboard.

Entry requirements

A minimum of six A*-C GCSE passes, preferably including grade B in English
