IT User Skills Level 2 Apprenticeship at Lakes College West Cumbria

Course description

The Level 2 Apprenticeship in IT User Skills includes a wide and varied range of units available within the IT User Skills framework, including the options to use bespoke/specialist software. The qualification covers a series of core IT principles and you will work with your employer to gain practical skills and put into use the theory work you will learn at college. The main software packages are based on the Microsoft Office Suite inclusive of: Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, PowerPoint, Email and internet/intranets. An Apprenticeship is a programme of vocational education and training whereby you will develop your skills, while learning on the job, building up knowledge and skills, gaining qualifications and earning money at the same time. The programme of study will also incorporate Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT and an Employee Rights & Responsibilities award.   Applicants will need to have relevant employment within the industry. Our Business Account Managers can assist in helping you secure a position if you do not already have one.

Apprenticeships are Government funded, depending upon age and circumstance

Future opportunities

You may wish to progress onto a Level 3 Apprenticeship in IT User Skills, apply for a permanent position or promotion within the workplace or pursue further career options in IT.
