Level 2 Diploma in Performing & Production Arts at West Kent College
Gain important transferable skills such as teamwork, communication and research whilst developing your creative practice in a range of performance disciplines.
You will study acting, dance and musical theatre, and have an opportunity to develop production and technical skills. This course will encourage you to work to your strengths, share ideas and perform in two public performances in the College theatre.
Alongside your practical units, you will study the theory of performance, exploring how a performance is created. The course will allow you to make informed choices about progression to a Level 3 course.
You will need four GCSEs at Grades D/3 or above, including English and maths or alternatively a Level 1 Diploma in a Creative or related subject, and functional skills qualifications in English and maths at Level 1 or above.
Your enrolment depends on a positive recommendation or reference from your school/tutor, and a successful interview and audition.
If you achieve a merit or above you can progress onto a Level 3 Extended Diploma in subjects such as Acting, Dance, Musical Theatre or Technical Theatre.
