General Food and Beverage Service Certificate Level 1 at The Manchester College
To prepare you for work in the hospitality or catering industries, this Certificate in General Food and Beverage Service will help you understand a variety of topics relevant to the industry and give you the skills you’ll need get a promising job in this sector.This qualification will develop your knowledge and understanding of the customer service in the hospitality industry and food safety in catering. Furthermore, you will learn about preparing and serving drinks and food service.This 36-week, full-time course, starting in September 2017, will also teach you the different food groups and their contribution to a healthy, balanced diet.
Throughout this course, you will build a portfolio of work. You will also be assessed through practical tests in a realistic working environment and written assignments.You may spend some time learning in the classroom too, and another part of the assessment will involve completing some portfolio tasks.

Once you’ve completed this certificate, you’ll be well equipped to begin your career in the hospitality industry.
