Component 2 investigating behaviour

  • Principles of research.

Component 3 Implications in the real world

  • Applications - A choice of three structured questions from six on Psychological behaviours.

Course content

Component 1

Psychology past to present

  • Explore the assumptions, therapy, classic research, and debates in each approach.

Component 2

Investigating behaviour

Principles of research:

  • Compulsory questions on how psychological investigations are carried out (including social and developmental psychology). This section includes learning how to conduct an investigation and how to evaluate this.

Component 3

Implications in the real world

  • Applications - A choice of three structured questions from six on Psychological behaviours.

 

Entry requirements

C or 5 in Maths and English.

  • Written exam: 2 hours 15 minutes
  • 100 marks
  • 33% of qualification

 

Component 2

Investigating behaviour

  • Written exam: 2 hours 15 minutes
  • 100 marks

    • Alder Grange Sixth Form (ag6) opened as a new Sixth Form in 2010. Since then we have recruited students from across Rossendale and beyond on to a range of both A Level and BTEC level 3 courses. We have been delighted that our results have improved year on year and that Alder Grangers have successfully moved on from Sixth Form to University or the world of work in areas ranging from Music Production and Zoology to Teaching and Engineering. We have developed a strong sense of community and a warm, caring and supportive ethos.
