Spanish at The Blandford School

Course description

With almost 400 million speakers, Spanish is the fourth most widely spoken language in the world. Aside from its use in Spain and most of Latin America, it has a major and growing presence in the USA. The number of universities offering Spanish is increasing every year. This is in response to demand. You can study Spanish with most other subjects. Common combinations are: Spanish with Economics, Business Studies, Computing, Music, Drama, International Politics, French and German. There is a great demand for Spanish speakers in tourism, business, telecommunications, and teaching.

Course content

Are you interested in:  Working with languages?  Foreign travel?  Tackling international problems?  Languages and business?  Combining a language skill with another expertise?

Entry requirements

We would expect you to have achieved at least a ‗B‘ grade in GCSE Spanish.
