Mathematics and Further Mathematics A Level at Oldbury Wells School

Course description

Mathematical skills underpin a huge range of disciplines from ICT to Medicine and from Architecture to Banking. The Mathematics courses provide you with those skills needed to solve problems in these disciplines as well as creating students who are logical thinkers and problem solvers. In many cases, having a Mathematics A Level will exempt you from having to take Foundation Mathematics courses as part of your first year degree study.

Entry requirements

Minimum Entry Requirements: GCSE Maths Level 7

Future opportunities

Mathematics is a very highly regarded qualification by universities and increasingly, universities are expecting to see Further Maths on any application to do Mathematics at degree level. Many other courses will also require Mathematics at A-level as part of their entry requirements.
