Award in Employability Skills - Level 1 at Jarvis Training Management Limited

Course description

The course will help you to develop your personal and work skills. It also encourages entry into further education and training. This course is designed for those who are unemployed and are looking for work.

A separate 50+ group has also been introduced, which is proving to be very popular with people who have experienced barriers to learning in the past, or who are long-term unemployed.

On this course you will develop your communication, personal and social skills, as well as building your confidence and self-esteem. The inclusion of IT helps develop the important skills required to help you access the Universal Job Search site, as well the new Universal Credit system - which is totally digital.

Help and support is given to search for jobs, produce a high quality CV, write letters of application and complete application forms within the sessions.

Health and safety legislation in the workplace is also covered and interview skills and techniques are shared and practiced and mock interviews are held.  A final interview takes place at the end of training.

Once completing this course we encourage our learners to undertake an apprenticeship, so they can build on their CV.
