Course description

The specification is designed to teach students 21st century electronics and manufacturing skills, which will enable them to produce sophisticated electromechanical products from components, and to appreciate the 
workflow from research and design to the manufacture of the finished product.

Systems and control seeks to reflect the wide-ranging activities of professional engineers, and encapsulates mechanical, pneumatic and electronic systems and the way they can be combined to produce new products. this popular and fast-growing course 
demands a high level of commitment, and offers substantial intellectual challenge. 

In order to achieve the highest grades, students will need to combine good 
mathematics, computing and science ability with creativity and common sense 
in order to produce working products and engineering solutions to overcome 
the inevitable problems that arise as the result of attempting to implement them.
