Production Arts Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma at Bridgwater College
The course is suitable for students with a keen interest in the technology and processes that underlie modern concert production and performing arts events. Students should have a willingness to learn new skills as well as a determination to develop specialist areas of interest.
This advanced course in Production Arts allows you to study a wide range of subjects within the production industry. In year two of the course, students are encouraged to specialise in areas of production that interest them, in both internal and external projects by way of work placement and specialist lessons.
You will study at least 18 units (modules) which, on successful completion, will give you a qualification the equivalent of three A Levels.

- Historical Context of Performance
- Performing Arts Production Planning
- Production for Theatre Performance

At least five GCSEs at grades A* – C, or a relevant level 2 qualification. Entry is also subject to a successful interview.
- Assessment is by coursework based on assignments set in each unit
- Assignments will involve technology projects, individual research, group work, project work and performance support.

On completion of the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Production Arts you will be equipped with the skills required to apply for work as part of a theatre or live event production team, as well as gaining access to university in a wide range of subjects.
