Course content

Business 1
The topics assessed in this unit are topics 1-6 (see above) and the exam involves three sections where: Section A has 10 multiple choice questions (MCQs) worth 10 marks. Section B has short answer questions worth approximately 20 marks. Section C has two data response stimuli with questions worth approximately 25 marks.
written exam: 1 hour 30 minutes which is 80 marks in total and is worth 50% of AS

Business 2
The topics assessed in this unit are topics 1-6 (see above) and the exam involves 7 questions which equal 80 marks.
written exam: 1 hour 30 minutes which is 80 marks in total and is worth 50% of AS

Business 3
The topics assessed in this unit are topics 1-10 (see above) and the exam involves Three compulsory sections: Section A has 15 multiple choice questions (MCQs) worth 15 marks. Section B has short answer questions worth 35 marks. Section C has two essay questions (choice of one from two and one from two) each worth 25 marks
Assessment : written exam, 2 hours, 100 marks in total and its worth 33.3% of A-level weighting

Business 4
The topics assessed in this unit are topics 1-10 (see above) and the exam involves 3 case study questions which equal 100 marks.
Assessment: written exam: 2 hour, 100 marks in total and its 33.3% of A-level weighting

Business 5
The topics assessed in this unit are topics 1-10 (see above) and the exam involves a case study and six questions which equal 100 marks.
Assessment : Written exam: 2 hour, 100 marks in total 33.3% of A-level weighting

 

Entry requirements

Students should have grade B or above in GCSE Math and English Language.

Future opportunities

Business Studies is an extremely useful subject to study. Combining aspects of marketing, finance and human resource management, there is a good case to be made for this being a vital subject for any student to study, whatever their future career
