Course content

To achieve the full Apprenticeship qualification candidates must complete the full framework including key skills/functional skills at the appropriate level where relevant.

Communication Level 1

Application of Number Level 1

ICT Level 1

Please note some exemptions from external tests may be applicable. if recent, original GCSE certificate evidence can be provided.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be aged between 16 and 24 years and meet with Skills Funding Agency eligibility criteria. Although no formal qualifications are required, applicants will be required to undertake an initial assessment in English, Maths and ICT before acceptance onto the programme.


How does it work?

Once signed up to an apprenticeship you are allocated your own personal assessor who visits you at your place of work every 2/3 weeks to carry out assessment visits which last approx one to one and a half hrs per visit andhelp you progress through the qualification.

If your company has internet access you can complete your training on envq, where you can be part of on-line learning and send your work with ease and security. Your assessor can be contacted through the envq emailing system andcan support you with a variety of resources.

Financial information

16-18yr learners are fully funded for their training through the Skills Funding Agency.

Future opportunities

Progression onto an Advanced Apprenticeship (L3) is an option for discussion at the end of your qualification during your Information Advice and Guidance session.
