Why choose Art & Design?

Art and Design studies are chosen not only by those seeking an art career, but also by those who wish to develop their potential in this area as an additional study. A level studies are the desired and logical route to higher education in Art and Design, as recommended by the Art Colleges.

What does the course involve?

Students are required to work in at least one of the following areas of Art, Craft and Design:

  • Fine Art
  • Textiles
  • Photography

Art, Craft and Design is a course that will allow you to study in your chosen specialism. The focus of the course is to develop your skills, knowledge and understanding. During the course you will be given the opportunity to develop as an Artist.

Entry requirements

No formal requirements, but we would usually expect GCSE Grade C in Art and Design and/or Textiles.
