BTEC National Diploma in Business - Level 3 at Slough and Eton Church of England Business and Enterprise College

Course description

Two separate BTEC Business courses are offered in Slough and Eton 6th Form. Both are vocational programmes focusing on:-

  • giving students the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised vocationally specific qualification to enter employment in the business sector or to progress to higher education vocational qualifications such as the BTEC Higher National in Business
  • giving students the opportunity to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life.

    The 12 unit BTEC National Diploma provides a specialist work related programme of study that covers the key knowledge and practical skills required in the Business sector. It has 12 assignments equivalent to two A levels. The course is 100% coursework and is well recognised by employers.

    Course Content and Assessment

    All students will study the following topic areas :- Exploring Business Activity, Investigating Business Resources,

    Introduction to Marketing and Effective People, Communicating and Information. The course is assessed through projects and assignments. All units are assessed by the college and moderated by the awarding body. An overall grade of Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction* is then awarded.

  • Entry requirements

    5 A* - C including English and Mathematics or BTEC First Diploma in Business at Merit or Distinction.
