Photography BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Epping Forest College

Course description

This two year course is an ideal choice if you’ve got a keen eye for a good picture and want the opportunity to focus on your photographic talents and turn it in to a great career.

You’ll learn about a range of photographic practices and creative video, using both traditional and digital forms. You’ll cover areas such as digital image processing, digital manipulation, printing, photo-blogging, darkroom techniques, stop-motion animation, lighting techniques, nature photography, studio work, portraiture and experimental photography.

Course content

You will study units including:

  • location photography
  • studio photography
  • digital image capture and manipulation

Entry requirements

Minimum of 5 GCSEs at A*–C including English Language. OR Merit or Distinction at an appropriate Level 2 Diploma including English Language at grade A*–C.

Assessment

Assessment will be through coursework accompanying research and visual investigation. All units are graded and an overall grade is awarded for the qualification.

      Once you arrive at the College there is a free car park with over 250 spaces, 
      as well as designated areas for coaches and other large vehicles.

       

      Once on site you can have access to our catering facilities (subject to agreement) and a range of rooms, 
      from our Theatre, with 264 retractable seats, to a standard classroom.

      We also have full IT support, and can offer rooms with either Macs or PCs running the latest industry-standard software.
