Engineering (Level 2) Diploma at Tresham College of Further and Higher Education
This qualification is recognised throughout industry as the recommended Level 2 Technical Certificate for students who wish to undertake an engineering apprenticeship. The qualification underpins learning to progress onto the Level 3 Engineering programme of study.
You will develop practical skills including turning, welding, milling and grinding. You will also cover engineering techniques and principles and work with Computer Aided Design (CAD).
A range of GCSEs at D or above including English, maths, and preferably science or equivalent, OR a relevant Level 1 qualification with equivalent English, maths and preferably science.
There will be continuous assessment of practical work and assignments and some tests.
You will need to purchase your own personal protective equipment (PPE) for the course including safety boots and overalls, approx. cost £50 - £60.
Level 3 study programme in Engineering or an Apprenticeship programme.
