Fashion & Clothing BTEC Intermediate Diploma Level 2 at Fareham College
This course will appeal to students interested in fashion and clothing. You will introduced to essential artistic and creative skills that will be developed through projects that explore sewing techniques, fashion illustration, design development, garment and pattern construction.
You will go on regular visits to fashion exhibitions locally and in London. You will also have the opportunity to go on residential trips relevant to your course. More recently, students have travelled to Berlin and Paris.
The year ends with an exciting catwalk show and a static summer exhibition, allowing your friends and family to come and view your work.
Five GCSEs at grade D or above to include English Language and maths and a creative subject. You will need to bring evidence of some creative work to your interview.
You are assessed through coursework projects only and you will develop a portfolio of work ready for progression to Level 3.
There will be a small materials fee which we will let you know about upon application.
This course ideal to progress onto Level 3 Fashion and Clothing or Art and Design. Career pathways or further study could lead to; Junior fashion designer, textile assistant, trainee technician or a creative Apprenticeship.
