Football FA Level 2 Coaching at Hove Park School and Sixth Form Centre

Course description

Students aged 16-18 years will have the opportunity to combine the provision of football excellence with a range of vocational and work based qualifications. This qualification can be gained as part of the Level 2 or Level 3 Sport BTEC course offered at HP6.

Open to both male and female students aged 16-18 years; the FA Football Coaching Level 2 is a must for any football or sport enthusiast. Students will gain a broad knowledge and understanding of coaching and the ability to teach children and young adults through football, skills and knowledge which are also transferable to teach, coach and instruct most sports.

Entry requirements

Students must have an interest and basic understanding of football, maintain a basic level of personal fitness and have the ability to work with others in a team environment.


The course is a mixture of coursework portfolio and practical work; 40% coursework portfolio and 60% practical work.

Future opportunities

Employment opportunities within the coaching and the leisure industry, coaching placements and playing scholarship in America.
