EDI – NVQ Certificate in Customer Service Level 2 at Shears Academy of Hairdressing

Course description

If you are 16 – 18 and wish to be part of the client care service industry, this is the very best way to enter the industry, and you earn whilst you learn!

During your Apprenticeship you will be paid the National Minimum apprenticeship wage, or more, and on successful completion will have gained transferable skills such as Personal Learning and Thinking Skills, Employment rights and responsibilities, Functional Maths and English Skills as well as hairdressing experience and an internationally recognised qualification – all of which are exactly the skills employers seek!

Customer Service qualification is an essential skill qualification that will give you confidence to deliver client care in any environment, and is a brilliant foundation for either the hairdressing and/or barbering apprenticeships. 

9.30am – 4pm plus a minimum of 24 hours a week in a Salon, Barbers or other client based industry such as retail or leisure.


There are 6 essential client care units:
  • Communicate using Customer Service language
  • Follow the Rules to deliver Customer Service
  • Give Customers/Clients a positive impression
  • Deliver reliable Customer Service
  • Recognise and deal with customer queries, requests and problems.
  • Develop personal performance through delivery of Customer Service

Entry requirements

Personal interview, employed - don't worry if you do not have a job right now as we can support you to in finding employment.
