Music Level 2 Diploma at Bath College
Do you want to break into the music industry? If you are interested in the world of popular music or music technology and wish to develop your skills, this course might be for you. You will have the opportunity to get real experience of song writing, recording and performing in the vocational context of the music industry.
You will be taught how to use web 2.0 technologies in order to produce an online learning
blog and as a tool to aid the promotion of your work.
The course covers a broad range of music performance and music technology areas. You will be expected to write and produce tracks, rehearse and perform for gigs and will learn about the music industry and how to manage small-scale projects.
The minimum entry requirements for this course are four GCSEs at grade D or above plus a successful interview and audition. You will be asked to respond to a set brief and bring this work with you to the interview.
There will be continuous assessment of practical and written work.
A studio fee of £90 will be required as a contribution towards the cost of course resources.
Progress on to the Level 3 Music Practice or Music Technology course or to other Level 3 programmes.
