Course description

Any student who is planning to take a Mathematics-related degree (this covers a very wide range of academic areas - Engineering, Sciences, Computing, Finance/ Economics as well as Mathematics itself) will benefit enormously from taking Further Mathematics.

As well as teaching you about new topics such as matrices and complex numbers, that are vital in maths-related degrees, studying Further Mathematics will also boost your performance in standard A-Level Mathematics.You will find the first year mathematics element of any maths-related degree course far more straightforward if you have studied Further Mathematics.

Entry requirements

Further Mathematics as both broadening and deepening your knowledge and understanding, beyond standard A-level Mathematics. Only candidates with an A* or A grade in Maths GCSE are suitable for this course.


6 Exams. 1 per unit.
