Photography at Island Innovation VI Form Campus

Course description

In this course you will study: portraiture, documentary and/or photo journalism, landscape photography, working from objects, still life or from the natural world and experimental imagery. You will combine practical creation of your own images with critical studies of the work of photographers throughout the past century. You will develop your knowledge and ability to take, develop and print your own pictures using both conventional and digital photography.

Course content

Lessons will include theory seminars and practical workshops.

Entry requirements

5 A* - C grades at GCSE to include B grade in Art and Design at GCSE.

Future opportunities

A portfolio of A Level Photography will allow you to pursue higher education in Photography or Lens based media. You would be expected to study a one year foundation course at an Art College before applying to a degree course in a more specialised area of Art and Design.
