Advanced Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care at Norfolk Training Services

Course description

Candidates who wish to complete this qualification must be working within domiciliary care, in the community, support and outreach workers, supervisors, senior care workers in adult social care, healthcare assistants or clinical support workers in health sector. Working in the private health care or social care sector, NHS, local authorities and voluntary organisation. They will be working with older people, adults with learning disabilities and adults with sensory and physical impaired service users and those who require extra care in service user’s homes and supported accommodation, day care provision and residential accommodation.

Course content

Once on programme with NTS, an assessor will be assigned to each learner. The assessor will carry out an induction to the course and pre arrange visits for every 4 to 6 weeks, on these visits the assessor will assess learners carrying out practical tasks that they would complete in their day to day job role, the assessor will also assess knowledge reports that learners have completed and set targets for the next meeting.
