Course description

You will study a number of key units including:

  • Planning and producing a media product
  • Photography for media products
  • Film and TV media products
  • Audio-visual media skills
  • Visual effects for media products or Graphic design for media products

Course content

We base our courses on employment needs of the region. Therefore, you can expect to learn topics that are relevant to the industry. Your course will be made up of a mixture of core modules, that are essential to the course requirements, and units that you can choose to specialize in yourself. You'll be guided by your tutor on which units to choose that will best suit you. You will study a number of key units including:-Film and TV Media Products-Photography for Media-Audio Visual Advertising-Planning and Producing-Print Media Production.

Entry requirements

This one year course provides you with all of the skills for you to progress onto a Level 3 programme. Although the course is practical, developing skills such as team-building, communication and presentation, there are substantial written elements that have to be covered in each unit. The course is both rewarding and challenging and is designed to prepare you for the ever changing world of media and communication.
