Course description

This qualification encourages a personal, adventurous and enquiring approach to art and design. The qualification aims to develop in all students: Intellectual, imaginative, creative and intuitive powers. investigative, analytical, experimental, practical, technical and expressive skills, aesthetic understanding and critical judgement. an understanding of the relationships between art and design, and an awareness of the contexts in which they operate. knowledge and understanding of art and design in contemporary society and in other times and cultures. All students will provide evidence of practical work in a number of different areas: Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media, ICT and Image Manipulation, Sculpture, Graphic Design, Print-Making, and Ceramic
