Entry Level Certificate Mathematics at Springhallow Special School

Course description

AQA Entry Level Certificate Mathematics The course consists of 8 units, four of which use externally assessed asignments set by AQA and four of which are assessed by teachers following AQA guidelines. These units are 1. Number part A (calculator allowed) 2. Number part B (calculator allowed) 3. Money (calculator allowed) 4. Calendars and Time (calculator allowed) 5. Shape and Space (calculator not allowed) 6. Measures ( calculator not allowed ) 7. Handling Data ( calculator allowed) 8. Aural Externally assessed only ( calculator not allowed) The course is designed to meet the individual needs of Springhallow students and to that end the final award can be at level one, two or three

Entry requirements

This course is part of the Springhallow Key Stage 4 offer. Young people can start at the appropriate level to their stage of learning (entry level 1 to entry level 3)

Future opportunities

You may progress to a Functional Skills course or a GCSE, a level one vocational course or a Foundation Diploma Course.
