Art and Design Level 2 Diploma at Berkshire College of Agriculture

Course description

WHY CHOOSE BCA?

The department is a stepping stone to give you the skills to progress. We underpin all of our art and design work with the development of skills that employers are looking for; such as communication, time management, resourcefulness, persistence, meeting deadlines and independent learning.

Our department offers you both academic and vocational courses to allow you to progress on to art or design based degrees, either via our Foundation Diploma in Art and Design or straight from our Extended Diploma.

Course content

This course is for those interested in exploring the creative potential of a diverse range of art and design activities. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of media, developing skills which you can then apply to design projects in areas such as graphics, textiles, photography and 3D design.

You will develop an appreciation of art and design in a broad historical context. There will be opportunities to visit exhibitions, museums and galleries and get involved in art and design competitions.

Entry requirements

A minimum of four GCSEs, grades D-E, including English and maths.

Future opportunities

Students can progress to the Level 3 Extended Diploma or may decide to seek employment.
