Professional cookery - Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 (EAOP) at Tameside College

Course description

You will be working in a safe, hygienic and secure manner, working as part of a food preparation team. You will be required to prepare and cook; fish, meat and poultry, vegetables, hot and cold desserts, cold starters and salads as well as game and pastry dishes. Tameside College will deliver a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Kitchen Services and Professional Cookery. You will spend 4 days in the workplace and 1 day a week in college, being divided into a Maths and English session and a theory and practical session. You will also need to purchase a chef uniform and knife kit. The minimum duration of the apprenticeship will be 12 months and full training will be provided by the employer.

Entry requirements

GCSE grades A*-C or equivalent and completion of Level 2 Apprenticeship in Professional Cookery or Level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery.
