Heavy Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Level 2 Apprenticeship at Lakes College West Cumbria

Course description

The Apprenticeship is a programme of vocational education and training whereby you will develop your skills whilst learning on the job, building up your knowledge and experience, gaining qualifications and earning money all at the same time. As a Level 2 Apprentice you will learn how to carry out vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles, removing and replacing components and units. You will be observed and assessed carrying out these tasks in the workplace. Applicants will need to have relevant employment within the industry. Our Business Account Managers can assist in helping you secure a position if you do not already have one.

Relevant GCSEs and interest in the occupational area

Financial information

Apprenticeships are Government funded depending upon age and circumstances. However college will provide all tools and personal protective clothing for use in college.

Future opportunities

On completion and achievement of level 2 you can progress onto the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, then on to higher education in engineering or university.
