Entry Level 3 Certificate in Motor Vehicle Studies at Biketrain

Course description

This accredited course is aimed at young people wanting to gain the basic knowledge of mechanics before progressing on to the level 1 course. During this course you will cover health & safety, tools & equipment, wheels & tyres, vehicle inspection, fluid levels, motorcycle construction & motorcycle maintenance. 

You will also be required to take part in a work placement with an employer (we will help you source your work placement if required), alongside this you will work towards improving your maths and English skills and gaining accredited qualifications.

Course content

Entry requirements

Must be able to achieve entry level 2 on numeracy and literacy initial assessments which will be taken at interview stage. 

 

Assessment

You will be required to build a portfolio of work & pass practical assessments. 

Financial information

You will be able to apply for a busary fund (award dependant on household income) .
