Beauty Therapy Level 2 at Lincoln College

Course description

If you want to pursue a career as a beauty therapist, this would be the ideal place to start. Taught in our industry standard salons, using the latest specialist equipment to develop your knowledge and understanding of the sector. This course is at a fast, exciting pace lead by experienced, enthusiastic and motivated tutors who are on trend with industry. We have excellent links to local employers and national organisations.
Successful completion of the Level 2 programme may lead to a Level 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy. You would also have access to a wide range of roles within the industry including careers as a mobile, self-employed therapist, an apprentice, or employment in a retail or salon/spa environment.
During this course, you will study the following units: Salon Reception Duties; Promote Products and Services to Clients; Provide Eyelash and Eyebrow Treatments; Carry Out Waxing Services; Provide Manicure and Pedicure Services and Apply Make-Up. 


Entry requirements

You will need 4 GCSE’s including English Language and Science (minimum Grade C). You will also be required to pass a skills test as-well as be screened in Maths and English.
You will be required to attend an interview/experience day and provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).


Assessment is a combination of theory and practical assessments with online tests throughout the year.
