Spanish AS/A2 level (Maricourt) at Deyes High School

Course description

Why study Spanish?

Mastery of Spanish is becoming an increasingly valued skill in international business and commerce.

It is a truly global language along with English and Chinese. It is the official first language of 22 countries, with half a billion speakers. Spanish provides a window into the rich and varied cultural heritages of Spain and Latin America and Spanish graduates have superb opportunities to travel to these exciting and beautiful places as part of their work.

The Business and Finance industries in Spain and Latin America are reflecting the increasing importance of these countries on the world stage so demand for workers with Spanish has increased dramatically in recent years.

On average, people who use languages such as Spanish in their job earn 8% more than their colleagues. Success in languages demonstrates to employers that you have many desirable skills.
