Computer Fundamentals Entry Level 3 Diploma at Redbridge College
This one-year Entry Level course will see you gain vital IT skills needed to progress to further study or enter future employment. This programme is suitable for 16-19 year-olds with no formal qualifications and is also suitable for young people with learning difficulties, for whom special provision will be provided.
You will study 16 units (subject to change) and they include:
- Word Processing
- Using Mobile IT Devices
- Word Processing Software
- Using the Internet
- Using a Computer in Business Administration
- Developing Creative Media Skills
- Creating Images Digitally
- IT User Fundamentals
English and maths:
- 16-18: You will also study English and maths to support your main course
- 19+: You may study either English or maths if appropriate
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, although learners are expected to have basic maths, reading and writing skills at Entry 2 or 3. You will also need to have some basic knowledge of how to use a computer and the Microsoft Office applications. You will need to fill in an application form and attend an interview, which will give you the opportunity to ask detailed questions about the course. You will be taught by our highly skilled team of staff who will pass on their years of industry knowledge and experience to you. You will be assessed by a mixture of assignments, observations and practical assessments.
On successful completion of this course you will have the opportunity to further enhance your skills and knowledge by progressing on to a Level 1 Diploma in Computing & IT at Redbridge College.
