Bench Joinery Level 2 Diploma at Lincoln College

Course description

This course includes practical and theoretical elements of Carpentry & Joinery, providing you with the underpinning skills and knowledge to progress. This programme will also offer you support, preparing you for the construction industry.
Successful completion of the Level 2 Diploma could lead onto potential careers including: working within the construction industry and working as a joiner.
During the course, you will study: Health and Safety; Principles of Building Construction; Set Up and Operate Circular Saw; Produce Setting Out Details; Mark Out From Setting Out Details; Manufacturering Bench Joinery Products.


Entry requirements

You will need to have successfully completed a Level 1 Carpentry & Joinery programme, GCSE’s in Mathematicsand English (minimum Grade D). You will also be required to pass a trade test as-well as a literacy and numeracy test.
You will be required to attend an interview and provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).


Assessment is a combination of practical tests and written examinations.
