Religious Studies B GCSE AQA 3060 at Sandown Bay Academy

Course description

The course aim is to develop skills of logical analysis and debate, along with understanding the diversity of views and opinions that exist within our Global community. The course consists of two modules: (1) Thinking about God and Morality and (2) Truth, Spirituality and Contemporary Issues. Study is modular and flexible and there is no coursework. Both units are assessed by two written exams equally weighted at 50% each - one each module at the end of two years study.

Future opportunities

You could take this course to prepare for advanced level courses such as an A/AS Level in Religious Studies or you may need to strengthen your grades by completing a foundation or intermediate vocational qualification. With further training, you could go into a job related to religious studies or the more general social sciences such as a Social Worker, Teacher or Youth Worker. You could also go straight into employment and do further training or part time study with the support of your employer.
