Course description

 AQA Advanced Level Religious Studies

Course content

Students study two topics.  The first is a study of Islam and the different groups within Islam.  It also looks at the role of familu and marriage within the faith.

The second topis is a unit which brings together everything students have learnt over the two years and how that applies to broad topics such as The Structure of a Faith Community, and Identity and Assimilation.

 

 

 

Entry requirements

You will need at least a D in AS Religious Studies

Assessment

Students will take two 90 minute exams

Future opportunities

Teaching, social work, law, journalists, police, nursing. Religious Studies can open the door to a wide range of careers and Higher Education
